Water Runoff Problems

November 21, 2014 By John Williams Leave a Comment

Water runoff problems with a new home

Even newly built residences need home inspections. This brand new home in the Green Hills area of Nashville, Tennessee has some major water penetration of the homes crawl space. Over time, this could lead to significant long term problems, including dry rot of the floor joist supports, and foundation displacement. A home inspection can save you a fortune for a home owner in the long run.

This home has significant water running underneath the foundation of the house. Proper down-spout diversion can correct water runoff problems. This short, four minute video illustrates a typical problem with crawl space water runoff.

There are many types of water intrusion causes that can affect the entire home.

5 Star rated All Pro Property inspector John Williams is the detective of home inspections in Nashville, Tennessee.
